Gift-Giving Project- A success

Its been a month and a day now since we had our gift-giving project. I’m very eager to have it posted here, but December was indeed a very busy month for me…. At long last, I will be posting it now…

Supposedly, we were 9 or I guess 10 who will be joining the said activity in Padang, Legazpi City last December 23, 2007. (I don’t know actually if who is the proponent of this project, I’m just a volunteer. Hehehe…) However, on the date itself, only 6 of us made it (me, arcee, ruth, annie and two staffs from inquirer; eph and Jamie). We were able to help three families on the said Barangay and more or less 20 individuals that include street children, aged and handicapped. We were able to give them grocery items (good enough for their day to day consumption and “noche-buena”) and used clothing. As we had our conversation with them, I am deeply touched by their stories. Despite of what happened to their lives due to typhoon reming most especially those living in Padang, and the starving stomachs of beggars on the streets, still they are all surviving and doesn’t loose hope. I suddenly thought that I am indeed blessed with the family and friends that I’ve got, comfortable shelter to stay at and enough resources for a living….

Well, the project turned out to be a success which is indeed beyond our expectation. Thus, we would like to thank all of the warm-hearted individuals who unselfishly shared their blessings. Through you, we became instruments in bringing hope and joy to our less fortunate brothers and sisters.

Because of the success of this gift-giving project and knowing that there are still good souls who are always willing to extend their help…it doesn’t end here. We hope that you will again support us in our succeeding projects…. Merci :)

Reminiscing the old times….A new found friend – Melai

When I was in elementary… I already love adventures! When our teacher asks if who’s willing to join girl scouting… I would instantaneously shout… “ako po mam”.. thinking that we will surely have a camping and mountain climbing. (yahooooo…). One of the funniest and stupid acts which I have done during our girl scouting in elementary is joining with boys…. Yeah…really! Hahahaha…Our teacher told us that girls are not allowed to join the camping that year since there is a limited number of girls who registered. (This was on the 6th grade)…Since it was our last year to join the camping… even with the prohibition of our teacher, me and six of my friends joined with the boys! Hilarious right?? wehehehe … And when our teacher found out… he talked with my friends parents and advised to bring us home (good thing… we live on a quite distant place where phone signal was not available then…hahaha) I was saved! . I know for a fact that papa will definitely be mad at me… so what I did was to have a sleep over on my friends place… hahaha… It was when I reached high school that I had the guts to reveal it to papa and with my siblings.

My desire for adventurous and thrilling activities has never subsided even as I reached high school. If there will be any activities that concerns, camping, mountain climbing, and even outreach programs, I always assure that I’m one of the participants. With this, I was able to go to different places here in the province and even outside... sad to say, when we are supposed to be sent in Mindoro I was not able to join…huhuhu, (it so happened that it was our final examination. And as a graduating student then, I should prioritize my academics. (waaaahhhhhh…) Anyway, the most unforgettable experience of my girl scouting during high school is when I was chosen to be one of the delegates representing Legazpi. It was a National Jamboree, and there were so many delegates. I happened to mingle with other delegates from Legazpi coming from different schools. It was indeed a worth remembering experience most especially our mountain trekking… Our guide was a hunk… kiliiigg!! Hahaha (aki pa sana duratooon na….nyahahaha)

Well, I remembered these things because of MELAI… when we were in high school, we know each other only by name and for a fact that we were in the same school and we were both active in girl scouting. I was a year older than her. We also talk but not that often. But now that we’re working in the same company, it is indeed a pleasure knowing her better. We share so many things most especially on heart matters. Hahaha… As our conversation starts, time runs so swiftly. Whew! We’ve got so many stories to tell. I’m really enjoying it. She seems to be more mature than I…. hehe

An afternoon thought...

After such a long time of not writing anything here, well, here I am again. Hehehe
There’s a lot of topics I want to post, but then I can’t really find time…huhuhu… its 4:22 now (my computer’s time) but I can’t even finish my output. Gosh..imagine only 7 articles but I cant afford to finish!!!! What a mess…. I dnt know what’s happening. Wheew! Ate prez (one of my officemates and close friends) said that the ratio between chatting and doing my article is 50:2…hehehe…Of course not! My mind is just pre-occupied with many things. The hell, I can’t figure it out!

Dub dub dub dub…that’s how a heartbeat sounds like as what nanette (a clown-like fellow in the office) said… agreeee? Hahahaha…funny! But what I feel right now is not funny…. I feel so nervous and I don’t even know if I’m trembling because of the aircon or the thought that we’re going to have a recitation. Oh my gulay! Afraid….afraid…afraid….. Though recitation is already a part of our life in skul, hence I find it hard to seat back and relax. Help me Lord….pls…. Hope that everything will be fine. I miss hanging out with friends after work, lakwatcha galore, chika galore, non-stop watching of teleseryes, reading novels, and all sorts of books except law books…haiz! But this is what I choose…. I’ll just savor bittersweet feeling of a full time working student! Hehehe… and a full time love jerk… wehehehe

MIssing Parker...

Parker is indeed a very cute rottweiler that my brother bought. Being pet lovers, me and my siblings really enjoy playing with him. He would always run after my nephew inside the house that make all of us laugh. Hence, a month ago, parker died… we really don’t know the reason of his sudden death… ooohhhh…how I wish parker is still alive… I really miss the puppy that once made all of us burst into laughter….Parkeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr……..
